The Verband der Holzwirtschaft und Kunststoffverarbeitung Bayern / Thüringen e.V. is the contact and lobby of the industry. In addition to family businesses and high-performing medium-sized companies, its members include all the major structures of the industry as well as German subsidiaries of internationally active corporations. The main task of the association is to safeguard and represent the economic, political and technical interests of the Bavarian and Thuringian timber industry and plastics processing industry vis-à-vis politicians, trade unions and the general public. The association accompanies and advocates (also in cooperation with its leading associations for the interests) for the interests of its members at the state, federal and European level in order to make the general conditions of the industry as positive as possible. Particular attention is paid to fair competition and equal opportunities for all companies, as well as to press and public relations work.
